Questions

Which iPhones does it run on?

Any iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Wanderloop is iPhone only: there’s no iPad, Apple Watch or Android version.

Does it work offline?

Planning a loop needs a connection. Once you’re walking, guidance keeps going with a weak signal, but the map itself needs data.

Why are loops sometimes on roads?

Forest paths and marked trails come from OpenStreetMap trail data, which currently covers only Poland. Elsewhere, loops follow Apple Maps walking directions, which stick mostly to streets. Make sure Settings › Hiking trails and paths is on.

How does it know which streets are new to me?

From your own walks, stored only on your phone. Nothing is uploaded. You can delete any walk in Settings, and its streets count as new again.

How do I rule out a road?

Pull up the sheet, open Roads ruled out and draw a line across the road on the map. Loops won’t cross it there.

Does it drain the battery?

GPS is used only while you’re planning and during a walk you started. When you’re not walking, Wanderloop isn’t tracking you.

Does it work with Apple Health?

If you want it to. Turn on “Save walks to Health” and finished walks are saved as walking workouts with their route, so they show up in Fitness. Wanderloop only writes to Apple Health and never reads from it.

How do I delete my data?

Delete walks and suggestions in Settings, or delete the app to remove everything. There’s nothing about you on any server.

New phone: do I have to buy it again?

No. It’s a one-time App Store purchase, so download it again with the same Apple Account. Your walk history moves with your iCloud or device backup.
